What is a Comprehensive Plan?
A Comprehensive Plan is a long-range plan intended to guide the growth and development of a community. Public participation and input from local citizens is important in the development of the Comprehensive Plan ensuring it represents the desires and needs of the community.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns in regard to the Comprehensive Plan, please email me or call the office. We would like to address them in an upcoming Commissioners’ Meeting. Please respond no later than June 7th, 2023 at the end of business. (208) 527-4516 or email@example.com
BUTTE COUNTY RESIDENTS
The County recently asked its residents to help give input regarding the comprehensive plan. We as a Planning and Zoning board wanted to make sure that we gave every resident an opportunity to speak up and voice their desires for our County. With Idaho ranking #1 in the U.S. for population growth, we wanted to make sure that we knew what the residents of Butte County wanted as far as growth was concerned.
With many individuals and families wanting to move out of the big cities, and find a small quiet community to raise their family, we are already seeing how this could affect Butte County.
We had a survey prepared that was made available to all residents. Those surveys were collected and compiled by Kurt. L. Hibbert, MPA. Kurt is a Community and Economic Planner from Sugar City. The results of the survey will be included in the new Comprehensive Plan when it is completed.
